Dance Party!! 01/26/2009

Winter can make you feel trapped, especially if you don't like to be cold.  But the East Grand Rapids Library's Dance Party this morning was a great way to burn some energy and get moving.

Designed for kids under 6, the library provided a room with lots of floor space, a small disco ball, shakers, glow sticks, scarves, bells, and other items to help the kids get into the groove.  Parents and kids (some dressed as princesses) came and went during the two-hour time block, stopping to play with the doll house and other toys housed at the EGR library.

The next dance party is scheduled for Monday Feb 23 at 10am until noon.  It's free and fun.  That's hard to beat!

The wyoming library has one on Sat morning called rhythm and rhyme time and it stopped for a few months and starts up again in March. Grace loves it and every other Sat we go and also stock up on books to last us 2 weeks. The teacher knows her name now everytime we are at the library Grace loves that she has a friendly librarian to talk to.
