If you find yourself on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, consider heading over to Creative Learning Toys.

Sure, you'll find a great selection of top-notch toys with sales people that are very helpful, but you will also find opportunities to express yourself with art!  Grownups and kids alike are invited to participate in the Young Artists Open Studio almost every Thursday.  During this time, Melissa offers a variety of art medias and ideas to bring out the creativity in you and your child. Drop in anytime between 10am-12pm, $5/half hour, $8/hour.  This fee includes materials as well as her expertise advice...and the peace of mind of leaving the mess elsewhere :)

Also, if you're into games, Creative Learning Toys has a Game Guru that will help you learn and play games Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm...for Free!

We've visited Creative Learning Toys on various occasions, the first being a field trip with my son's preschool and the latest being a visit to the Young Artists Open Studio.  I can say wholeheartedly that this is a great family fun destination in Grand Rapids!
